Why do my Sony headphones sound better through my computer than through my iPod?
I have a pair of Sony MDR-V6 headphones and a 120GB iPod classic. Lately when I've been using my headphones with my iPod the bass sounds really distorted (or just like a pair of really cheap headphones) but through my computer the headphones sound fine.
I have been told that this has something to do with an Ipod not capable of powering the drivers in the headphones to function at full capacity, as the output from an Ipod compared with a computer/stereo system is much lower & as a computer has more output - you get a more accurate sound.... I stand corrected, but this is what I have been told.
